Road Construction – Upper Water Street
Location: 2111 Upper Water Street
Date: Wednesday, April 6 to Thursday, April 14 Friday, April 22
Time: 24/7, including weekends
Work details: This work is to install a pole supporting power poles on Upper Water Street, across from the HMCS Scotian Building (2111 Upper Water Street) and the install DES pipe in support of the Cogswell District project<www.halifax.ca/about-halifax/regional-community-planning/construction-projects/cogswell-district-redevelopment-0>. This work is in preparation of construction of a by-pass road<www.halifax.ca/about-halifax/regional-community-planning/construction-projects/cogswell-district-redevelopment-2>, which is expected to be in place in Summer 2022.
Traffic impact: Both existing southbound lanes in the vicinity of 2111 Upper Water Street will be closed, and the center line will be altered to maintain one lane of traffic each way. Personnel will be on-site to direct traffic and pedestrians. Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternative routes.
