Road Construction – Upper Water Street
Location: Purdy’s Wharf (1949 Upper Water Street) to Casino Nova Scotia (1983 Upper Water Street)
Date: Tuesday, June 28 to Friday, July 22 Friday, August 19
Time: Weekdays 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Work details: This work is for the installation of temporary power conduits under the existing sidewalks on the east side of Upper Water Street in support of the Cogswell District project. This work is in preparation of construction of a by-pass road, which is expected to be in place in Fall 2022.
Traffic impact: Stop-and-go traffic will be in place while work is underway. Traffic personnel will be on-site to direct traffic and pedestrians. Marked detours will be in place for pedestrians. Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternative routes.
Note: Access to the Purdy’s Wharf Parkade will be maintained while work is underway.
