Road Construction – Upper Water Street
Location: Purdy’s Wharf (1949 Upper Water Street) to Casino Nova Scotia (1983 Upper Water Street) Date: Tuesday, June 28 to Friday, August 19 Friday, September 16 Time: Weekdays 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Work details: This work is in preparation of construction of a by-pass road<www.halifax.ca/about-halifax/regional-community-planning/construction-projects/cogswell-district-redevelopment-2> in support of the Cogswell District project<www.halifax.ca/about-halifax/regional-community-planning/construction-projects/cogswell-district-redevelopment-0>, which is expected to be in place in Fall 2022. Traffic impact: Stop-and-go traffic will be in place while work is underway. Traffic personnel will be on-site to direct traffic and pedestrians. Marked detours will be in place for pedestrians. Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternative routes. Note: Access to the Purdy’s Wharf Parkade will be maintained while work is underway.
