Antigonish County RCMP have charged a 22-year-old man in relation to a serious assault that occurred on Monday January 5th, 2015.
On Tuesday January 6th, a 22-year old Frankville man turned himself into RCMP.
The man was arrested and questioned about the assault and charges have been laid as a result.
Devon Maurice Fitzpatrick appeared before the Provincial Court yesterday on a charge of Aggravated Assault. He was released on his own Recognizance and will be back in court on February 4th, 2015. The 27-year-old victim remains in hospital in Halifax. The investigation is continuing.
