Update: RCMP charge man with attempted murder, Fox Point, N.S.

Cumberland County RCMP have charged a 67-year-old man with Attempted Murder following a firearm's incident that occurred last Thursday evening. On January 16th at approximately 7 p.m.

On January 16th at approximately 7 p.m.

, Cumberland County RCMP responded to
a call of a shot fired at a vehicle while the occupant was exiting the pick-up truck. The shot shattered the drivers side window and damaged the door in several places. Further investigation revealed that the victim’s house was also shot at and sustained damage. The occupant was not injured.

Neale Wagstaff was arrested on Friday morning without incident. He is facing several charges including Attempted Murder, Pointing a Firearm, Possession of a Weapon for a Purpose Dangerous to Public Peace, Unsafe Storage of Weapon, Mischief and Operation of a motor vehicle while impaired. He appeared in court yesterday and was released on several conditions. He is due back in Amherst Provincial Court on March 3rd, 2014 @ 09h30.

A 39-year-old man who was also arrested on Friday and later released is being investigated for Accessory after the Fact. The investigation is continuing.
