Update: RCMP charge man with five counts of attempted murder, Springhaven, N.S.

RCMP Yarmouth Rural Detachment have charged a 59-year-old Springhaven man with five counts of Attempted Murder. On Sunday morning at approximately 1 a.m., RCMP Yarmouth Rural Detachment responded to a report of a disturbance where shots were fired at a vehicle with five occupants.

On Sunday morning at approximately 1 a.m., RCMP Yarmouth Rural Detachment responded to a report of a disturbance where shots were fired at a vehicle with five occupants.

No one was injured.

Michael James Vacon, 59, who was remanded into custody, has been charged with the following offences:
five counts of Attempted Murder
one count of Careless Use of a firearm
four counts of Unsafe Storage of a firearm

A 56-year-old female from Springhaven, who was arrested and released last evening, will appear in court at a later date. She is facing one count of Counseling to Commit Attempted Murder.

A 19-year-old male from Springhaven is facing one count of Mischief, he will appear in court on April 27th, 2015. The investigation is ongoing.
