Update: RCMP charges pair in hit and run incident, Chester, N.S.

Lunenburg County RCMP have charged two men in relation to a hit and run incident that occurred in Chester in late May. On May 30, 2015 at approximately 5:50 p.m.

Lunenburg County RCMP have charged two men in relation to a hit and run incident that occurred in Chester in late May.

On May 30, 2015 at approximately 5:50 p.m.

, RCMP responded to a hit and run in the Haddon Hill area of Chester. Shortly after this incident, police issued a plea for public assistance in identifying the occupants of a light blue Mazda 3 with a temporary registration sticker in the front window and an Oregan’s car sales plate attached to the rear of the vehicle. After a thorough investigation, arrest warrants were issued this morning for two males in relation to this incident.

RCMP is now looking for Adam Dempsey and Christopher Dempsey, both 24, from the Halifax area.

Christopher Ross Dempsey is facing charges of Dangerous Driving and Failing to Stop at an Accident Scene under the Criminal Code. Adam Jerome Dempsey is facing charges of Breaching a Probation Order (three counts) and Failing to Comply with a Recognizance (four counts).

RCMP anticipates other charges may be laid as the investigation progresses. RCMP is asking for the public’s help in locating these two men who are evading police.
