Update: RCMP investigate serious motor vehicle collision, Central Caribou, N.S.

Pictou County District RCMP have responded to a single vehicle collision on Central Caribou Road, locally known as Corbett Road.

Preliminary investigation indicates the single vehicle went off the road striking a parked detached trailer unit.

Two adult males from Pictou County have been pronounced dead at the scene and a female passenger has been transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The road remains closed while Pictou County RCMP, with assistance from RCMP Traffic Analysts, investigate the scene. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.

The identities of the deceased persons are being withheld pending next of kin notifications.
