At 9:25 a.m. on September 24, the RCMP was called to the scene of a deceased man that was discovered outside a home on Lockhart Dr.
The RCMP has charged thirty-year-old Nikolas Derrick Salsman, of Lockhart Dr. with second-degree murder. Salsman appeared in Kentville Provincial Court earlier today and has been remanded into custody. He is scheduled to return to Kentville Provincial Court on October 18.
The victim is a 34-year-old man from New Minas, and the accused and victim were known to one another.
The matter is being investigated by Nova Scotia RCMP Southwest Nova Major Crimes Unit.
