UPDATE: RCMP release name of deceased Moncton woman, Marshville, N.S.

RCMP are releasing the name of the 66-year-old woman who was found in a dingy in the waters off Marshville, Pictou County on Friday, May 16th, 2014. Jeanne Francis Liption of Moncton, New Brunswick was in a one-person inflatable dingy which had been caught in the current of the changing tide.

RCMP are releasing the name of the 66-year-old woman who was found in a dingy in the waters off Marshville, Pictou County on Friday, May 16th, 2014.

Jeanne Francis Liption of Moncton, New Brunswick was in a one-person inflatable dingy which had been caught in the current of the changing tide.

The dingy was being taken out into the Northumberland Strait. When the dingy was located a short time later, Ms. Lipton was found with no vital signs and was later pronounced dead at the hospital in New Glasgow.

The Nova Scotia Medical Examiners’ Service has ruled out foul play in her death and the RCMP investigation is now concluded.
