RCMP advises that the 79-year-old driver involved in the motor vehicle crash in Balls Creek has succumbed to his injuries and died in hospital.
At approximately 8:15 a.m.
this morning, Cape Breton Integrated Traffic Services responded to a report that a Ford F-150 had left the road on Highway 125 near Exit 3 and had over-turned in the ditch.
The 79-year-old male driver and 78-year-old female passenger, both of North River, were transported to hospital following the crash.
The investigation is continuing.
