Wednesday, May 11, 2022 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that Bedford Row between Sackville and George Prince Streets will be closed to through motor vehicle traffic beginning Friday, May 13, at 12 p.m. until Monday, Oct. 31 at 12 p.m.
Bedford Row will remain fully open to people walking, rolling and cycling. A section between Sackville Street and the Founder’s Square underground parking entrance will be converted to two-way traffic to allow for local access only. Access to all stores, restaurants and parkades will be maintained.
This is a seasonal closure, similar to previous years, and is intended to allow part of downtown to be more accessible for residents and visitors during the warmer months. It does not involve any construction.
