Update: Weapons complaint on Primrose

Update on Weapons call from last evening 16-7776

 Three Dartmouth men have been remanded to the Central Nova Scotia Correctional Facility today as a result of a weapons call in the area of Primrose Street last night.  Thirty six year old Wayne Oakes, 28 year old George Purvis and 24 year old Greg Weeks all of Dartmouth are facing numerous firearm and weapons offences. As a result of this investigation a search was executed at a residence in the 100 block of Primrose St. Dartmouth and three people have been charged with drug and weapons offences. A thirty five year old female, a 17 year old female and a 16 year old male have been charged with trafficking  and possession of cannabis and cocaine and possession of a weapon. They have all been released and will be appearing in Dartmouth Court at a later date.

At 630pm East Division officers were called to the area of the 0-100 Block of Primrose Street in Dartmouth in relation to a weapons complaint where two men were believed to be in possession of firearms.  The subsequent investigation led to a traffic stop on Highfield Park Drive where two Dartmouth men aged 28 and 36 were arrested for weapons offenses.  Further to the initial arrests another 24 year old Dartmouth man was also arrested for firearms offences.  All three men are currently in custody at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
