Update: Woman charged with attempted murder, Middleton, N.S.

Annapolis County RCMP have charged a 35-year-old woman with Attempted Murder following an incident in Middleton yesterday. At approximately 11:45 a.m., Annapolis County and Kingston RCMP along with Emergency Health Services responded to a 911 call about a stabbing.

At approximately 11:45 a.m., Annapolis County and Kingston RCMP along with Emergency Health Services responded to a 911 call about a stabbing.

Preliminary investigation determined that a 49-year-old man had been stabbed. The victim remains in hospital with serious injuries.

The accused, 35, from Middleton, is facing charges of Attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault and Assault. Her name is not being released as it could identify the victim in this incident. She has been remanded into custody and will appear in Digby Provincial Court on Monday September 29th, 2014. The investigation is continuing.
