Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that work to repair water laterals on Barrington Street between Richmond Street and Duffus Street in Halifax was delayed today and is now scheduled for later this week.
Due to the forecast heavy rain tomorrow, this work will now begin at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 11, and continue until about 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 12. There will be stop-and-go traffic while construction is going on. There will be no work during peak traffic, from 4-6 p.m.
Motorists should expect delays when this work is going on and are asked to use alternative routes, if possible. The municipality apologizes in advance for any inconvenience this work may cause.
