A 30-year-old woman was arrested following a traffic stop by Halifax Regional Police on September 29 on the Bedford Bypass. She was in possession of items stolen from a vehicle in Fall River early Friday morning and suspected of having used stolen credit cards at a local business.
Laura Anne Crosby, of Fall River, has been charged with two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and seven counts of Fraud Under $5000. She was remanded in to custody and was scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court today.
The investigation is ongoing and is being conducted by the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division.
Police continue to remind people of the importance to remove valuables from their vehicles after RCMP have responded to over 80 complaints of thefts from unlocked vehicles since August 1.
