valentine’s day cards for boys

This is the second year in a row that we’ve used this adorable Love Bug template for my oldest to give to his little friends at school! With superhero overload in our house I wanted to help my son make a thoughtful Valentine’s Day card for his friends that didn’t have a picture of Hulk or the Rock Crusher on it 😉 He loves making crafts so when I showed him this option or superhero cards he chose the Love Bugs. They’re a perfect craft to work on over a week…I find my boy starts to get bored after about a 1/2 hour of crafting and is on to the next thing so we work on these over a few days leading up to Valentine’s Day.

this template

– wooden bugs from Michaels. They come in a 4 pack for $1.69 and can be found in the woodworking area (or plastic bugs from the dollar store work great!)

– glue dots

– get a wicked hand cramp cutting out 25 cards for your kindergartener. I wasn’t fussy about cutting them out perfectly. Afterall the kids are 5 and will probably just rip the bug off and throw out the card in about 30 seconds.

– have your child peel and stick a glue dot, press on a bug, then sign and you’re done!

Happy Valentine’s Day!
