A heated gazebo, which is used by local residents when they skate on an adjacent pond or sled on a nearby hill, was targeted by vandals this week.
Sometime between the morning of December 3 and the evening of December 5, vandals broke windows in the gazebo and damaged the parking lot at the property on Highway 374 in Sheet Harbour. The property is maintained by it’s owners and open to the community to use.
Halifax District RCMP is asking anyone with information regarding this act of vandalism to contact Sheet Harbour RCMP Detachment at 902-885-2510. Should you wish to remain anonymous, call Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers toll free at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), submit a secure web tip at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca, or use the P3 Tips App.
The investigation is continuing.
