At 11:19 am, HRP officers responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian accident at the intersection of Agricola Street and Lady Hammond Road. The vehicle was stopped on Agricola, facing South at the intersection as a 53 year old female pedestrian started walking in a marked crosswalk. There was a 5 foot hedge that contributed to obstructing the view of both the driver and the pedestrian. As the vehicle pulled away, the pedestrian stepped out into the crosswalk and impact occurred. The pedestrian was taken to the QE2 Hospital with some scrapes from falling but the injuries are non-life threatening. The matter is still under investigation.
