At 8:15 a.m., police responded to a vehicle/pedestrian collision at the intersection of Willett Street and Main Avenue. A 39-year-old woman was crossing Main Avenue in a marked crosswalk and was struck by a car driven by a 50-year-old woman travelling southbound on Willet Street, turning left on Main Avenue. The pedestrian suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by EHS.
 
Main Avenue remains closed to eastbound traffic while the investigation is ongoing. No charges have been laid at this time.
