February 22, 2011, Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) . . . Royal Canadian Mounted Police and HRP/RCMP Integrated Drug Unit have seized drugs and cash after a vehicle stop in Fall River, Nova Scotia.
On February 22, 2011, 10:49 PM, Halifax District RCMP and the Integrated Drug Unit conducted a traffic stop after observing suspicious activity in the Mall Plaza parking lot, Fall River, Nova Scotia. Investigation revealed that the driver was in possession of a controlled substance-cannabis marihuana. Police found the drugs and approximately $2500 hidden in a lunch bag.
A 34-year-old man from Fall River will be facing charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) and will be appearing in Dartmouth Court on March 30, 2011.
