Vehicle/pedestrian hit and run

Halifax Regional Police is requesting the public’s assistance to identify the driver involved in a vehicle pedestrian hit and run that occurred in Halifax last month.

At 9:41 p.m. on November 27, a 25-year old woman was in a marked crosswalk on Connaught Avenue at Almon Street when she was hit by a car. The car was on Almon Street making a left turn onto Connaught Avenue when the collision occurred and the driver made no attempt to stop.

The pedestrian and witnesses describe the vehicle as a gold or silver Chrysler PT Cruiser. There is no description of the driver. The pedestrian sustained non-life threatening injuries as a result of the collision for which she was assessed and released at the scene by EHS.
