Victim Of Assault At Quest Home Care #Sackville Dies.

More awful news out of this place. What’s up with the delay reporting the incident to police? Below is a release from the RCMP and below that is a link to a more detailed Chronicle Herald story.

“Police to continue to investigate a death at a home care facility in Lower Sackville.

On May 15th, RCMP were called to a home care facility on Memory Lane. Police learned that on May 11th, 28-year-old male resident had pushed a 56-year-old male. As the result of the push and fall, the victim ended up in hospital in life threatening condition. Sadly, the victim, Gordon Longphee, passed away in hospital on May 17th. An autopsy will be performed today.

The HRP/RCMP Integrated Major Crime Unit continues to investigate HRM’s 4th homicide of the year.”

About Jeff Nielsen

For people who love Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia! A lot of us lovingly call it “Sack-Vegas” which I personally find hilarious. I hope to have this column be a place for us to discuss our hometown, poke fun at ourselves (nothing too derogatory about our town though), post some old or current pics….whatever we want to do with it.
