Victoria County RCMP charge pair with numerous offences, St-Margaret’s Village, N.S.

Victoria County RCMP have charged one man and one woman after a search warrant was executed yesterday in Victoria County.

On April 2nd, Ingonish Beach and Baddeck RCMP executed a search warrant at residence on Meat Cove Road in St Margaret’s Village and two people were arrested at the scene without incident.

As a result of the search, RCMP seized two all-terrain vehicles, one snowmobile and several provincial road signs believed to be stolen. A large amount of ammunition was also seized.

Simon Wilfred Bonnar, 43, of St-Margaret’s Village has been charged with several offences including four counts of Possession of Stolen Property, two counts of Tampering with a vehicle identification number (VIN), one count of Breach of Probation and one count of Possession of Ammunition while Prohibited. The accused has been released from custody and is expected to attend Ingonish Provincial Count on June 12th, 2014.

Catherine Elizabeth Bonnar, 41, of St-Margaret’s Village has been charged with four counts of Possession of Stolen Property and two counts of Tampering with a VIN. She has been released from custody and will be appearing in Ingonish Provincial Count on June 12th, 2014.
