Minister of National Defence Peter McKay and Service Nova Scotia Minister John MacDonnell were on site in Halifax yesterday to assist Mayor Peter Kelly in a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Halifax Central Library. Located on Queen St. near Spring Garden Road, blasting and excavation at the site has been going on since the summer with construction expected to be finished by 2014. Haligonia's Antoine Abawajy was there to catch the action.
