Julia Feltham is putting together a great website that will give a much needed vioce to the youth of the HRM. Julia is also invloved with Luke Murphy, a young man on a mission. Luke will be taking part in an 300km bikathon to raise money for the IWK.

Luke Murphy, a grade 12 student at Ecolle Carrefour, and Mavericks are organizing a 300km bikeathon from YARMOUTH-LIVERPOOL-CHESTER-IWK Halifax to get rural youth excited and involved in the IWK telethon! We are raising $10 000 for the IWK, and planning to host events in all the towns to reward and recognize youth for active living. It shall take place May 27th-30th and youth organizers will be official big-cheque presenters on the Telethon program.
Anyone is welcome to join to bike or jog with us for a length of the journey, but we are also looking for assistance in these lovely towns to help us run send-off events, find donations, accommodations and reaching youth in all the rural places we shall be passing through.
