Yesterday at approximately 3:45 p.m. officers were called a residence on Breton Street in relation to an assault.  A man attempted to assault a home owner when he was approached and asked to leave the property.

Officers located the man a short time later in the area.  The man initially fled from police and resisted officers when they placed him under arrest. The suspect, a 25-year-old man is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court at a later date to face charges of assault, causing a disturbance, resisting arrest and failing to comply with conditions of a court order.
