At approximately 10:45 AM, members of the Halifax Regional Police executed a search warrant for a firearm at an address located in the 0-200 block of Main Ave. in Halifax.
Numerous police units were involved in this matter and given the public safety concerns in relation to this warrant, members of the Halifax Regional Police – Emergency Response Team were deployed to assist in its successful execution. The subsequent search of the residence in question resulted in a replica firearm being seized from the home. During the course of this incident, eight persons, adults and juveniles were taken into custody and they have all since been released by police. There are no charges pending at this time in relation to this matter. No one was injured during the course of this procedure.
