Video: Province To Invest $2.25 Million To Art Gallery Of Nova Scotia Upgrades

In an announcement made this morning MLA Leonard Preyra, speaking on behalf on Communities, Culture and Heritage Minister David Wilson, said that the provincial government would invest $2.25 million dollars towards repairs for the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia.

As one of the oldest historic properties in the city the Dominion building — pre-dates Confederation and has hosted the Gallery since 1988. It has been in need of funding for a while now to maintain its architectural integrity and upkeep. Preyra says the investment will go towards replacing the sandstone on the exterior walls.
