Video store robbed at knifepoint

At approximately 730 pm, Patrol members responded to a 911 call at Showtime Video and Variety,  2150 Windsor Street in Halifax. Upon arrival on scene it was learned that the clerk was approached by a male holding a knife  demanding cash. Inside the store at the time was the clerk and one other customer. The suspect took cash and fled on foot. No one was injured during the incident. A search of the area could not locate the suspect.  The robbery was captured on tape and Detectives will be reviewing the tape in hopes of identifying the suspect.

The suspect is described as a male,  20-25 years of age, slender build, dark eyes, dark eyebrows, 6 foot, short dark hair, and he covered his right eye with a patch that was blue in colour. He was also wearing a brown hoodie.

Investigators in the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigative Section are in the initial stages of their investigation and are asking anyone who has information about this robbery to contact 490-5016 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-888-222-TIPS (8477).
