Thousands of Halifax residents were without power overnight as a storm system moved through the region.
Emergency crews were on scene in Dartmouth after a power transformer caught fire, cutting power to the Ilsley Avenue area of Burnside Industrial Park. Police had a section of the road blocked while waiting for NS Power to arrive.
