The Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada was in Halifax last week during a four-day event in which Aboriginal residential school survivors from the Maritimes were given the opportunity to speak out and tell their stories of injustice to the commission, the public and members of government, the RCMP and clergy.

On Friday Haligonia's Antoine Abawajy had the unique opportunity to film at a panel discussion, allowing viewers to hear snippets of the stories of strength, pain and healing for the Aboriginal men and women who came through the Indianbrook residential school system.
