Warrant Search Leads to Arrests, Drug & Cash & Firearm Seizures

At approximately 8:30 pm on February 26th, members of the Special Enforcement Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division, with the assistance of members in the East Quick Response Unit and Halifax Regional Police Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 200 block of Prince Arthur Avenue in Dartmouth. As a result of the search, police located a loaded handgun, quantities of cocaine and marihuana, drug paraphernalia and a sum of cash. Officers arrested two men during the search.

A 29 year old man and a 30 year old man, both from Dartmouth, were remanded into custody for the weekend and are scheduled to appear in court on Monday February 29th to face weapons and breach of conditions charges under the Criminal Code, as well as charges of cultivation, and trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
