Was your vehicle broken into on July 11-12?

Police are asking residents of South-end Halifax who had property stolen from their vehicles in the overnight hours of July 11-12 to contact them.

At approximately 12:20 a.m., on July 12 police responded to the area of Bridges Street and Harrington Drive to reports of two people breaking into vehicles. A description of the two men was provided to responding officers and at 12:30 a.m. officers located two people in the area of 600 Franklyn Street matching the description. A 21-year-old man from Dartmouth and a 16-year-old male youth from Halifax were arrested and taken into custody without incident.

The man and the youth were searched and officers located what is believed to be a large amount of stolen property. Investigators would like to return the property to the rightful owners.
