A man faces charges after an incident early this morning in Halifax.
At 2:06 a.m., police responded to a business in the 1500 block of Grafton Street. Upon arrival, officers learned that a staff member had located a man and woman in a stall in the men’s washroom. After being asked to leave, the man in the stall produced a conductive energy weapon and assaulted the employee. Additional staff assisted in restraining the suspect until police arrived. An officer was spit on while he was searching the suspect who was found to be in possession of a quantity of crack cocaine.
Twenty-one-year-old Ronald Alfonso Brown faces charges of possession of a weapon, possession of a prohibited weapon, assault with a weapon, assaulting a police officer and drug possession. He’s scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today.
