Waste oil spill reaches Bedford Highway and Sackville River

At around 10 a.m. today police responded to a waste oil spill which resulted from an insecure cap on a hauling truck on Dartmouth Road.

The spill eventually reached the Bedford Highway and the Sackville River.

Environmental agencies are the lead on this incident which was widely reported by radio stations for traffic delay concerns.

The Police assisted where necessary to support the clean up effort.
