Lifeguards at Queensland Beach closed the water Sunday afternoon after a fin was spotted just off the shore.
There have been several sunfish sightings in the Halifax area over the last few weeks, which can sometimes resemble a shark below the water’s surface. They move much faster than sharks can, however.
I am at Queensland. Lifeguards said water is closed until it can be confirmed. Someone on sea doo went out and said it was a sunfish but lifeguards still said no swimming. They didn’t say when you could go back in.
