Water Transmission Main-Leak Detection Program

Thursday, November 10, 2011- Halifax Water is undertaking leak detection on key sections of water transmission mains extending from Northwest Arm Drive to Quinpool Road.
As part of this work, connections to the affected pipes larger than 50 mm in diameter must be temporarily closed. These closures include the side streets and service laterals in the area noted in the map.
This leak detection work will be conducted by Pure Technologies and Halifax Water using Smart Ball methodology.
The work will take place between Monday November 14, 2011 and Friday November 18, 2011.
Some customers may experience a temporary water disruption, loss in pressure, or discolored water in the areas, dates, and times noted on the map. Discoloured remains safe to drink.
Halifax Water regrets any inconvenience these temporary water service disruptions may cause.
