Weapon complaint at Point Pleasant Park leads to high risk arrest

On February 23 at 3:28pm Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of multiple people in the area of Black Rock Beach in Point Pleasant Park, Halifax passing around what was believed to be a firearm.​ Responding members were able to locate an associated vehicle in the area of Point Pleasant Dr, Halifax.​

A high risk vehicle stop was conducted at Young Ave and Inglis St in Halifax.​ Four men ranging in ages from 18-21 ​ and one male youth were taken in to custody without incident.​

A weapon was located during the search of the vehicle.

The incident is still under investigation.
