At approximately 9:15 pm Halifax Regional Police responded to the area of Caledonia Rd and Roleika Dr in relation to a weapons complaint. A 50 year old man from Dartmouth reported that he was threatened with a knife by a man known to him. On arrival, HRP located the suspect walking on Caledonia Rd near Main St, as officers attempted to arrest him he struck one officer in the face with a closed fist and bit a second officer on the forearm. The 25 year old man was arrested and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court at a later date to face charges of possession of a weapon dangerous, assault police and resisting arrest. The officers were assessed and they did not require further treatment prior to continuing their duty.
