Weapons Charges

At approx. 7 pm HRP responded to Sambro, HRM for a dispute in progress. Upon police arrival a man exited his residence with a weapon in hand and immediately returned inside. No threats or offence took place. Additional police units responded to the area, containment was established.  Contact with the man in the home was attempted without success, it was determined the man did leave his home. As few hours later the man was taken into custody across the street without incident. This adult man faces weapons related charges and will appear in later to day. The Emergency Response Team and HRP Negotiators were deployed for this police call.

HRP conducted a traffic stop in the Hester St. /Jamieson St. area of Dartmouth, last night around 715 pm, a loaded firearm was seized from the vehicle. One adult man and one adult female face weapon offences and criminal code charges and will appear in court later today.
