At approximately 8:00 AM this morning members of the Halifax Regional Police responded to a weapons complaint in the 100 Block of Evans Ave in Halifax. 

The complainant stated that his son was behaving in an irrational manner and was believed to be in possession of a firearm. The responding officers contained the scene and safely removed the complainant and other family members from the residence. Moments later the suspect, a 24 yr old male, exited the residence of his own volition and was taken into custody without incident. No one was injured during this event.

 

Police remain on scene and are in the early stages of this investigation. No criminal charges have been laid at this time.
