Weapons incident at York Redoubt

Halifax Regional Police continues to investigate a weapons-related incident that occurred in Halifax on the weekend.

On April 9 at approximately 2:50 p.m. police received reports of a man with what was believed to be a firearm walking in the area of the York Redoubt National Historic Site at 300 Fergusons Cove Road. Officers quickly contained the area, arrested the man and seized a replica firearm. 

The man was later released without charges and the investigation is ongoing.
