Weather statement: 15-25cm of snow expected (Wed Mar 1, 7:30am report)

From Environment Canada:

Significant snowfall expected.

Total snowfall: 15 to 25 cm.

Maximum wind gusts: easterly 70 km/h along parts of the Atlantic coast.

Locations: most of Nova Scotia and Cape Breton.

Time span: Thursday afternoon to Friday morning.

Remarks: Snow is expected to begin over southwestern parts of the province Thursday afternoon and spread eastward to Cape Breton late Thursday evening. As the snow intensifies Thursday night, driving conditions will deteriorate impacting those traveling. The snow may change to rain over southwestern parts of the province Thursday evening.

Conditions will improve Friday morning with the departure of the storm.
