Halifax Metro and Halifax County West continued
A potential winter storm could affect Mainland Nova Scotia and Cape Breton Thursday night and into Friday.
A low pressure system is forecast to develop south of Cape Cod Thursday morning and intensify as it tracks south of Nova Scotia Friday. This system brings the potential for significant snow, wind, and blowing snow affecting the province overnight Thursday and into Friday.
While it is too early to predict any amounts for this event, Environment Canada will continue to monitor the development of this storm providing updates as new information becomes available. Those planning travel or other weather-sensitive activities for later in week are advised to monitor future forecasts for more information.
