Weekend Traffic Advisory – November 27 2010

    Halifax Regional Police is issuing a traffic advisory in relation to the HRM Tree Lighting and the Spryfield Santa Claus Parade which are both being held this weekend.

 

 
Halifax Regional Police is issuing a traffic advisory in relation to
the HRM Tree Lighting and the Spryfield Santa Claus Parade which are
both being held this weekend.
 
On Saturday night between 6 and 7 p.m. the annual HRM Tree Lighting
ceremony will take place in the Grand Parade in downtown Halifax. This
popular event draws many spectators to the downtown core. Motorists
should expect delays when travelling in the area due to increased
vehicle and pedestrian traffic as well as road closures.
 
On Sunday, the Spyfield Santa Claus Parade takes place beginning at 2
p.m. It will start on Punch Bowl Drive, travel along Herring Cove Road
and end at the Spryfield Lion’s Rink on Drysdale Road. This event is
expected to draw a lot of spectators and roads will be closed as the
parade passes along the route.
