Weekend Wrap-up April 7-9

We’ve got a spring symphony, babies, music and babies (we’ve got a special on babies!), and an outdoor adventures for tots. Really, this weekend is all about springing back into it! And we’ve got a way for everyone of any age to do it…
1. Take your pick of animals, from the barnyard or from the lake…Bring a stuffed animal, feel free to wear a costume, and join the Chebucto Symphony Orchestra at the Faith Tabernacle Church for Old Chebucto had a Farm this Saturday for a matinee performance at 2. Admission is by donation.
2. Be your infant’s very own baby whisperer. Have full confidence in your ability to care for your newborn. Get. More. Sleep. If you have a newborn under your care and these sound like goals you wish to achieve, do sign up for this Saturday’s 4th Trimester Postpartum Workshop from 9-4. And yes, you can bring your baby! This workshop is filling up fast so please register by sending an email to mercedes@all4mommy.com as soon as you can. If you don’t get in this time, don’t panic! There are more sessions coming up. Go to All 4 Mommy for dates, times, and more details about the class.
3. If you have a baby, how can you tell it is spring time? The urge to take them out of the house on the regular, that’s how! If you’re feelin’ that feelin’(especially if you want to sing about it), why not register yourself and that little bundle for Music with Babies led by musician and mom, Louise Hanavan?! Nurtured Products for Parenting on Agricola is hosting this chart topping 5-week program best suited for babies up to walking or one year. The first session is on Friday morning at your choice of 9:45 or 10:45. Tickets are $85 per babe and you for all five weeks and are available here.
4. What better way to mark the arrival of spring than getting outside and into it?! Lighthearted Living is doing a soft launch of KINDERgarden in Point Pleasant Park on Sunday at 12. It’s a free 1 hour trial class and includes a guided, toddler-paced nature hike, activities, and songs geared towards families with children 0-5. Please check out the KINDERgarden web page for more information and contact Grace at lightheartedlivingns@gmail.com with any questions. Registration through www.eventbrite.com is required.
