Weekend Wrap-up: Aug 10-11, 2013

1. What: “Say what? You are doing what? Running on the bottom of the Bay of Fundy while the tide is out? You gotta be kidding!” Nope, no joke, as runners from the first five years of the Not Since Moses Run can testify.

Not Since Moses is a run for the ages, all ages, including competitive runners and fast nervous walkers. The Basket Run, sponsored by Merrell Canada with courses of from 100 to 500 meters along the shore, in sight of parents and cheering supporters. Such a muddy fun time!

2. It’s the Spring Garden Children’s Festival! Come join them for a day full of fun children’s activities brought to you by HaliKids, Woozles and the Spring Garden Public Library.

3. It’s the Art Bikers with Silly Faces! The tradition continues as they make more wild and whimsical faces and creatures for the fence around Ardmore Park! Painted wood shapes assembled with screws. They have paint smocks.

4. Head to Ross Farm for Antique Engine Day! Members of the Gasoline engine club will be on hand with displays and demonstrations of older style farm equipment. There will be a grain threshing & hay press demonstrations. Over 10 working displays! While you are there, take a wagon ride, visit heritage buildings such as Rose Bank Cottage, the home of Captain Ross’s family, dating from 1817.
