Aug-23-24

1. Game on! Head to Mt. Uniacke Estate Museum Park this weekend to try your hand at their old-fashioned games, like walking on stilts! They”ll show the kids how it was done… or they can show us!

2.

It’s the Annual Hand mowing competition at Ross Farm Museum! This fun event will have hand mowers from all over including some of the Ross Farm staff! Always a wonderful event for both competitors and spectators with demonstrations planned along with live old time country music, a haylift competition and much more!

3. Yum! Wild blueberries are the number one fruit crop in Nova Scotia and Sherbrooke Village is celebrating the harvest with a Very Very Blueberry Weekend! They’ll be serving up recipes from the past such as jams, muffins, grunts and tarts!

4. It’s time for the Clam Harbour Beach Sandcastle competition! This awesome beach is a long, beautiful white sand beach within the HRM. For the past 35 years, the Competition has attracted hundreds of contestants and thousands of spectators. Come check it out or be a part of the amazing works of art! Go early to have time to park and catch the shuttle, it gets crowded!
