Happy New Year! While NYE isn't techinically part of the weekend we wanted to include the festivities. Who can keep the days straight on holiday anyway! 1. A family-friendly option is the New Year's celebration at the Oval! It's a spectacular afternoon and evening of skating, free face painting, live music, and fireworks. It all wraps up before 8:00pm so that you can get the little ones tucked in at a reasonable hour. If you've got older kids or party animals who won't sleep then you can also check out the HRM New Year's celebration at Grand Parade! 2. Both nearby ski hills are open, Ski Martock and Ski Wentworth. Now that we've finally got some wintery weather it's a great time to head out! 3.
